Rev. Ken Forrester is our new Transitional Pastor. In addition to pastoral duties, he will lead our congregation and leadership to form a Pastor Search Committee, to seek God's man to be our next pastor, and then help that new pastor transition into his new position. Pray for Pastor Ken Forrester as he ministers, teaches, and inspires us to become more like Jesus Christ, bring others to Christ, and to become better servants in the Kingdom of God.

Sunday, May 31 Resumption of Sanctuary Morning Worship Services
(Email to the congregation from Mr. Tim Merrell, Deacon Chair - received May 26, 2020)

Dear College Street Baptist Church Family:

On Sunday, May 31, we will reopen our sanctuary for worshiping in person. Please plan to arrive at 9:30 A.M. if possible because implementing our protective measures may take longer for everyone to enter and be seated safely. The service is scheduled to begin at 10:00 A.M. If you are sick, have underlying health issues or feel at risk, PLEASE worship with us from home. The live broadcasts get better every week!

If you are healthy and mobile, please consider parking further from the church so our elderly members can have a closer parking space.

The first floor of the sanctuary and the adjoining restrooms will be the only open areas. There will be no nursery or children’s activities. The balance of the church building will be closed off from access.

Below are some of the guidelines that will be observed:
*Ushers or deacons will guide you to entry doors.
*Your body temperature will be monitored with a touch-less scanner before entering the sanctuary. If your temperature is equal to or greater than 100.4 degrees, you will not be allowed into the sanctuary and we will suggest you see your doctor.
*Ushers will guide you to your seat to ensure social distancing is observed. Immediate family groups that arrive together may be seated as a family group.
*We recommend masks be worn and extras will be available if you do not have one.
*Hand sanitizer will be available, and its use is recommended before being seated.
*Offering plates will be located at each exit to eliminate passing of the plates from person to person.
*Please refrain from hugging and handshaking. However, big smiles will be greatly appreciated!
*At the close of the service, ushers or the ministry team will dismiss by rows to avoid crowding and deacons will be outside to remind all that we need to keep our social distance.

Please use this time to give thanks and worship our great GOD. HE has us in the palm of HIS hand.

We appreciate your cooperation exercising patience as we resume worshiping together. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, May 31st!

Tim Merrell
Chairman of the Deacons

From Lauren Beddingfield
Director of Student Ministries

To our Church Family and Community!

Thank you for being a part of decorating our cross for Easter. We hope that it will stand as a symbol of hope and remind us all that He is Risen. Jesus took the ugliness of our sin on the cross and transformed our lives to be made new in Him.

CSBC Food Bank Volunteers Continue to Serve!
March 24, 2020

College Street Baptist Church Food Pantry is open Monday and Tuesday each week from 10am-1pm. We have a drive thru setup to help with social distancing and volunteers directing you where to go. We serve the greater Walhalla area and we are continuing to help during this pandemic.

Thanks to all the volunteers who keep our food pantry open and serving families. Eugenia and Greg modified the procedures to allow "drive through" operation while keeping recommended health and safety policies in effect. Don visited the CSBC Food Pantry on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 and took these pictures.  Our thanks are also extended to the many other volunteers who keep the food bank functioning.
