Thank you for your prayers for our mission team. The team returned late Tuesday afternoon, October 31. It was a wonderful trip which included Bible School at the Assemblies Church in Ambo, visits to elementary and preschools in Ambo and Tomayquichua, professions of faith by new Christians, visits with many of the local pastors, and a women's missionary meeting.

Joint Resolution from the Missions Committee and Deacons:
Peru Mission Partnership

The Opportunity: To serve as the IMB strategic coordinator for the Ambo-Pasco Quechua people group. (REAP North – Rapid Entry Advance Plan for Northern Peru).

The Goal: To develop a 3 – 5 year strategy for establishing indigenous, self-sufficient churches in the region between Huriaca and Huanuco, Peru. The goal is to plant healthy, growing, and reproducing churches in the region.

Strategy: To plan intentional volunteer trips throughout the partnership (3 – 5 times per year) to enable the indigenous people in each village or community to plant churches or to build up existing churches of sound doctrine. We take each community and develop a specific plan based on their needs. Each trip will have specific goals. Each team member will be selected based on his or her gifts or talents that compliment the goals of the trip.

Strategic Coordination Team:

  • Team facilitator/Contact Person: Randy McManamay

  • Staff liaison: Ken Reid

  • Planning team: Allan Addis, Mike Bonham, Ricky Cook, Betty Stephens
